More than 90 learners trained in OSH

On two days – 28 and 29 of March, Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Welfares organized an OSH training course for employers and OSH technicians. The course attracted the participation of more than 90 learners.

Not many enterprises paid attention to OSH  

The course focused on basic contents of OSH such as: OSH-related policies, regimes and labour protection applied in enterprises – working time, vacation and bonus to those doing heavy, hazardous and dangerous jobs, for example – individual protection equipment; allowances given to employees suffering form occupational accidents; social insurance regimes; rights and duties of employers and employees in OSH; dangerous and harmful factors in production; ways of identifying and improving working conditions … Finishing the course, learners were given certificates by Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Welfares.

 
Certificates given to learners after the course  

Lam Duy Tin, Vice Chaiman of Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Welfares said that Dong Nai saw a high level of occupational accidents, ranked 6th in the country. This course would help raise awareness of OSH for enterprises and in turn minimize occupational accidents in production, he added. He explained that safety played a key role in determining the stability and growth of enterprises because it could ensure not only lives and health for employees but also properties for enterprises.
