More than 400 Adolescents Attend the Talk Themed “Climate Change and Youth’s Responsibility”

On the morning of March 6, in the Dong Nai Training College of Economics, Youth Union of Group of People, Government and Party held the talk entitled themed “Climate Change and Youth’s Responsibility”. Assistant Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ky Phung from Southern Sub-institute of Hydrometeorology and Environment accompanied by more than 400 Youth Union members from professional schools under the group and the Provincial Public Security members joined the talk.

A great number of Youth Union members and adolescents  attend the talk

    At the talk, Assistant Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ky Phung presented some of the special subjects associated to climate change, such as: earth warming, high sea level rise, climate severity, green house effect, etc. which is so popular in the world. Impacts caused by climate change that are directly hitting Vietnam include flooding, draught, server flood-tides, affecting human safety as well as economy.

    The talk became ebullient as issues related to youth’s responsibilities for natural environment protection and response to climate change were presented. Mr. Hoang Van Thong, Head of the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection said that in order to cope with these matters, Dong Nai was encouraging scientific research, improving people awareness of environmental protection, and calling businesses to minimally release wastes and exhaust emissions.
