Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son showed great interest in the management and operation of the irrigation works. At the same time, he acknowledged the difficulties and challenges faced by the ongoing projects. Specifically, the Suoi Tre 2 water reservoir project currently lacks a management and operation road, which hinders the management and exploitation work. The Ca Ron water reservoir project is experiencing delays due to several difficulties and obstacles, especially the incomplete procedures for forest land use conversion.

The Cau Dau water reservoir
project was invested in and completed in February 2023. The project's mission
is to provide irrigation water for 450 hectares of industrial crops, fruit
trees, and agricultural crops, as well as domestic water supply with a capacity
of 4,000 cubic meters per day and night. The old Suoi Tre water reservoir (Suoi
Tre 1) was invested in and completed in 1986. Its purpose is to provide
domestic water supply with a capacity of approximately 3,000 cubic meters per
day and night. The new Suoi Tre water reservoir (Suoi Tre 2) underwent repairs,
upgrades, and was completed in February 2023. Its mission is to provide
domestic and industrial water supply with a capacity of over 8,000 cubic meters
per day and night, and to discharge water downstream with a flow rate of
approximately 30 liters per second. All these projects are managed by the Dong
Nai Irrigational Works Exploitation Company Limited.
The Ca Ron water reservoir project is being constructed in Gia Canh commune,
Dinh Quan district, with the Dinh Quan District People's Committee as the
investor. The project's mission is to ensure irrigation water supply for
approximately 630 hectares of agricultural land in Gia Canh commune. The total
investment is 454.6 billion VND, and the project is scheduled to be implemented
from 2020 to 2024. Due to various reasons, the project commenced in December
2022 and is expected to be completed in 2024, with a total implementation
period of 450 days.
