In order to facilitate the construction of the Phuoc An Bridge, it is necessary to convert 2.95 hectares of protected forest land in Dong Nai province. In 2022, the provincial People's Council also issued a resolution to supplement the list of cases for the conversion of land for rice cultivation and protected forest land, including the Phuoc An Bridge project. At the meeting, relevant departments and units also discussed and clarified the necessity and legality of the land use conversion to serve the construction of the project, laying the foundation for submission to the competent authorities for consideration and approval of the aforementioned land area conversion.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi affirmed that the Phuoc An Bridge is a highly important project, contributing to the connectivity and economic development of Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. This project has garnered significant attention from the leaders of the two localities, as well as from the people and businesses. Therefore, the related matters need to be completed promptly to serve the bridge construction. As such, the relevant units are making efforts this week to complete the documentation for the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan before submitting it to the People's Council for consideration and approval.
