(News Portal – Dong Nai) - According to the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, after 30 years of development, the alliance has truly become a representative organization of cooperatives, cooperative unions, and cooperative groups. It continues to play a vital role and promotes collective economic development and cooperatives; acting as a bridge between the Party, the State and the collective economic sector, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance's organizational structure was consolidated from the Central Government to all 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The Provincial Cooperative Alliance has functional and professional departments and most of them have Cooperative Development Support Funds and affiliated Cooperative Development Support and Consulting Centers. The team of officials, employees, and workers of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance system has nearly 2 thousand people, with nearly 80% having university and postgraduate degrees.
Base on the results, the unit will continue to advise the Party and State to support and create favorable conditions for the collective economy and cooperatives to develop.
Specifically, annually mobilize, advise and support the establishment of at least 2 thousand new cooperatives, 20 cooperative unions and 3 thousand cooperative groups; building 120 - 200 cooperative models applying high technology in production, associated with the value chain of key national, regional and local products. Collaborating with ministries, departments and localities to complete the goal of having 140 thousand cooperative groups with 2 million members, 45 thousand cooperatives with 8 million members, 340 cooperative unions with 1.7 thousand members by 2030 nationwide. There are over 5 thousand cooperatives applying high technology in production and consumption of agricultural products. By 2045, attracting at least 20% of the population to participate in collective economic organizations.
