Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vo Van Phi, delivering his concluding remarks

According to the report from the Project Management Board of Southern Power Projects, the project spans over 117km, consisting of more than 324 tower locations, with a total investment of over 1 trillion VND. In Dong Nai province, the project has been agreed upon by the provincial People's Committee in terms of the route, and the project's land use area until 2030 has been identified in the land use planning of four districts: Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat, and Trang Bom. However, at the time of formulating the district-level land use planning until 2030, the detailed design for this project was not available, hence the tower locations were not determined on the land use planning map.

The Project Management Board of Southern Power Projects has proposed that the People's Committees of the four aforementioned districts report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the provincial People's Committee to allow for the updating of tower locations for land reclamation on the land use planning map as a basis for implementing the compensation work. The People's Committees of Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, and Thong Nhat districts are urged to promptly complete land valuation and compensation plans for affected households in order to issue land reclamation notices and initiate land clearance. The Trang Bom district requests the provincial People's Committee to allow the transfer of the land use plan from 2023 to 2024 in order to issue land reclamation notices. While waiting for the resolution of these procedures, the relevant authorities are permitted to mobilize affected households for tower construction to meet the electricity connection deadline in the third quarter of 2024..

Mr. Dang Chien Thang, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board of Southern Power Projects, reporting on the obstacles

Based on the report, recommendations, and discussions with local authorities, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the People's Committees of the four districts and the Project Management Board of Southern Power Projects to compile the tower locations for land acquisition. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment will review relevant regulations and provide recommendations to the People's Committee: if the land acquisition project needs to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council, the necessary procedures should be expedited for submission during the July session; if it does not require submission to the Provincial People's Council, the provincial People's Committee will consider updating the tower locations on the land use planning map until 2030 for the districts, providing a basis for land acquisition implementation.
