(News Portal – Dong Nai) - By mid-October 2023, state budget revenue from the import-export sector in the province reached over 13.5 trillion VND, reaching 63% of the estimation in 2023 (21.450 billion VND). Compared to the same period in 2022, state budget revenue decreased by nearly 4,9 trillion VND, equivalent to a decrease of 27%.

According to the assessment of Dong Nai Customs Department, the reason why state budget revenue is low compared to the estimate assigned at the beginning of the year is mainly due to the production situation of enterprises, especially import-export enterprises in the production of animal feed, leather shoes, textiles, wood... industries as they face multiple challenges. Notably, many enterprises had to temporarily stop production, and some enterprises could not hold out and had to dissolve.
In addition, state budget revenue from imported raw materials and supplies to serve the production of export goods and domestic consumption decreased due to reduced demand for raw materials at enterprises, leading to a decrease in revenue in most key commodities such as chemicals and chemical products, plastics, iron and steel, base metals, coal, liquefied petroleum gas, rubber, textile fibers, household electrical goods and accessory…
