In accumulation, retail sales in
10 earlier months of 2010 hit VND43,611 billion, going up by 24.5% over the same
period, making up 76% of the year plan.
Retail sales by industry in the
10 months go as follow: trade VND35.779 trillion, up 24%, occupying 82% ;
services VND4,506 billion, up 23%, making up 10.3%; hotel and restaurant
VND3.306trillion, up 30.5%, representing 7.6%; and tourism gain VND19.5
billion, accounting for 0.04%, up 28.5%, which is the lowest increase.
Price index of goods and services
in Oct. 2010 compared to Oct. 2009 (the growth rate after one year) increases by
8.4%. Ten out of 11 groups of goods and services get rising, in which the groups
that have a higher increase than average include food and catering services by
13; housing, electricity, water, fuel, construction materials by12%; other goods
and services by 9.9%. Other groups have a 2.5% to 8% increase while the
telecommunications drop by 5.9%.
