If on schedule, Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants confirmed by the project investor - PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV POWER) at a meeting with Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc about the implementation of the recent project.

Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants approved by the Prime Minister for PV POWER as an investor in 2018. The project has a capacity of 750MW, electricity output is 10.5 billion kWh/year. According to the plan, the project would start construction in the first quarter of 2021 and generate electricity by the end of 2023. When put into operation, this plant will generate revenue of 22 trillion VND each year, contribute 600 billion VND to the state budget and pay a resource fee 100 billion VND.

However, currently there are about 13/51 hectares of land that do not have clean ground, so construction cannot be started. In addition, PV Power and Tin Nghia Corporation have not yet reached an agreement on the fee for using the industrial park's infrastructure and the cost of compensation for site clearance. PV POWER proposes provincial leaders to direct the settlement of shortcomings so that the company can start the project in the next quarter.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung directed Tin Nghia Corporation to coordinate with the locality to complete the site clearance and hand over clean land to the investor; Nhon Trach District People's Committee reviews the procedures for paying compensation and support to people. Along with that, Tin Nghia must complete the infrastructure of the rental area. Tin Nghia Corporation and PV POWER have to agree on costs related to site clearance, rental price and infrastructure rental period. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the units and localities to quickly deploy to hand over the clean ground to PV POWER to start the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 thermal power plants in June, contribute ensuring energy security to the province and nation.
