Plan for activities of mid-term external information of Dong Nai province in the period 2015-2017

​The plan defines these following objectives: presenting policies and guidelines of the Party and laws of the State and Dong Nai province to countries in the region and over the world; introducing the potential for investment, the political - economic - social advantages to call for investment from foreign investors and oversea Vietnamese people; promoting the image of people, history, culture as well as cultural values of Dong Nai province to the countries in the region and around the world; struggling against distorted information provided by hostile forces opposing the Party and State; presenting the province’s people with information about the world’s situation.  Mid-term external information in the period 2015-2017 has to conform to these below requirements: ensuring the leadership and supervision of Provincial Party Committee, provincial People's Council, the management of provincial People's Committee; the cooperation between the central and local authority, among functional agencies in charge of foreign information activities in the province; informing, disseminating and promoting the local image to ensure the accuracy, promptness, objectivity, reliability of the information in accordance with the political orientation of the Party and law of the State; sticking external information to security & order protection and to requirements for socio-economic development in the province.

External information activities include: organizing training courses to foster and develop profession skills on foreign information for cadres in charge, core leaders, delegations paying working visit to foreign countries,  and organizing committee of festivals and advertising events;  participating in events to promote trade and investment, tourism, introduction of the province’s goods and services to foreign countries; promoting the local image and potentials through unique cultural festivals and bilateral or multilateral exchange of delegations; taking part in fairs, exhibitions, international conferences, economic cooperation, promotion activities for investment, tourism, training, introductory activities of culture and history, etc. in order to present and promote the local image;  struggling against distorted and false information which contrasts with the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, investment potential and traditional cultural values of the province, which sabotages the career of building and protecting a socialist republic country; together with following all shades of public opinions of foreign countries towards Dong Nai province, thereby stimulating activities for foreign information and staying active in shaping public opinion, etc.

Activities of mid-term external information in Dong Nai in the period 2015-2017 are carried out through the province’s mass media; active cooperation of local press agencies with central press agencies, magazines, television channels (Government Portal, Voice of Vietnam radio, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Digital Television Station, etc.) to encourage presenting, disseminating, promoting Dong Nai’s image to the whole country and international community. In addition, there are other means of external information: joining the performance, exchanges to introduce cultural values of the provincial ethnic groups to other nations and oversea Vietnamese; participating in sports activities, coordinating with neighboring countries to organize professional sports tournaments and movements; edit and publish the exhibition photos to present and advertise the fatherland, people, monuments, famous landscapes, manners and customs of ethnic groups in the province to the world, foreign tourists and oversea Vietnamese, etc.

Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has directed leaders of departments, agencies, units under its authority; Chairmen of People’s Committee in districts, communes, city to implement the plan pursuant to plan’s contents mentioned and to closely cooperate with  each other to formulate and undertake activities for external information.
