According to Dong Nai Statistics Office, the value of industrial production of Dong Nai by the end of 2021 reached nearly VND 704.5 trillion, up nearly 42% compared to 2016. The average growth rate of the industry in 2016-2021 period is more than 7.2% /year. Of which, the proportion of the industry is nearly 80% of enterprises with foreign direct capital, and more than 20% of enterprises with domestic investment capital.

In the field of industry, mechanical engineering industry, processing industry dominate and become a driving force for growth in the industry. The industry has created jobs for nearly 853 thousand workers in and out of the province. More than half of the above workers work in enterprises with foreign direct investment. Although nearly 3 years ago, the Covid-19 epidemic affected industrial production, but Dong Nai still maintained a good growth rate because businesses have made efforts to maintain production and export.
