Consumer price index in October increased by 0.06%

According to Dong Nai Statistics Office, the consumer price index in October increased by 0.06% compared to the previous month. Of which, there were 5/11 commodity groups whose price index increased compared to last month, such as: food and catering goods (up 0.21%); household appliances and appliances (up 0.24%); education group (up 3.93%); cultural, leisure and tourism group (up 0.55%); other goods and services (up 0.34%).
In addition, there were 5/11 commodity groups with a decrease in price index compared to the previous month including: drinks group (down 0.03%); apparel, hats and footwear (down 0.02%); housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials (down 0.15%); transport group (down 2.49%); postal and telecommunications group (down 0.06%). The drugs and health services group separately kept the price index stable from the previous month.
In October 2022, the prices of many consumer goods are relatively stable, some items have increased volatility, reduced prices due to the influence of supply and weather and promotion policies of shops and supermarkets at the end of the year. Prices for gasoline and oil commodities continue to be revised downward due to the influence of world gasoline prices and the policy of stabilizing domestic gasoline prices. During the month there is a shortage of gas in the province, many gas plants are closed due to various reasons, but mainly because of the shortage of gasoline due to supply.
The consumer price index in October 2022 increased by 3.88% compared to December 2021 (ie, the 10-month price index of this year increased by 3.88%).
