Export-import quota hits US$934 million in January

Export-import quota is estimated to reach US$934.43 million, making up 88.79% compared the same period last year, obtaining 5.04% of 2009 plan target.

    Specifically, export value gains US$446.51 million, composing 86.6% in comparison with that in December 2008, 91.8% compared with the same period and 5.3% of 2009 plan. Local exports are namely coffee (3,083 tons), woodwork  (US$1.68 million), cothing (US$2.21 million), footwares (US$1.567 million), votive paper products (US$19,000). Separately, artistic pottery achives US$250,000, only occupying 40.3% of the same period.

    Import quota in January in some estimations hits US$487.9 million, making up 89.2% compared with December, 2008, 86.2% of that of same period and 4.8% of the plan. Major local imports in January range from chemical (US$22,000), mecdicines (US$304,000), tobacco ancillary materials (US$350,000) to production ancillary materials (3.25 million).
