The Provincial National Assembly Delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Quan Minh Cuong recently supervised the implementation of policies and laws on energy development in the 2016-2021 in Dong Nai province for Dong Nai Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company and the Provincial People's Committee.

Currently, the province has a national electricity grid system; 6 power plants and more than 5.9 thousand rooftop solar grid systems. It is expected that in the near future, Dong Nai will have 5 hydropower projects, 4 garbage power projects, and 2 thermal power plant projects with a total capacity of about 2,000 MW.
From reality, many power projects are delayed due to ground problems, energy projects are not connected, the Provincial People's Committee proposes to have specific policies to encourage the development of renewable energy projects; adjust the compensation price policy, support to create favorable conditions for the construction of energy projects and technical infrastructure in general; soon promulgate policies on solar power development.

At the working sessions, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly Quan Minh Cuong said that energy is the foundation for socio-economic development, however, the development of the power grid system, power plants, new renewable energy projects in the province are still limited.
The leader of the monitoring team requested to review the needs and propose solutions to proactively create energy sources for the province in the next 5-10 years; mobilize resources to develop new energy sources. In addition, reviewing the inadequacies of the policy to propose additions and amendments; strengthen inspection, check policy implementation, timely detect and correct violations related to energy.
