Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Director of Vuong Gia Hung Thinh Co., Ltd (Ho Nai Ward, Bien Hoa City) introduced instant quail eggs that meet export market standards.
This business owner and owner of the largest quail farm in Vietnam is Mr. Pham Van Thinh, who is always proud of the origin of a good farmer, which is a solid foundation to help businesses go fast and far when enter integration.
The largest quail farm in Vietnam
Thinh recalls, nearly 30 years ago, Ho Nai Ward (Bien Hoa City) strongly developed quail farming. His family was one of the first quail farmers in the locality. Because of his passion for this profession, since he was a student, he was responsible for everything from buying ingredients to grinding, mixing food, washing each feeder to cleaning the cage. Thinh is proud: “Although I am only over 40 years old, I have nearly 30 years of experience in quail raising for eggs because since elementary school I helped my brother take care of the quail farm. By the time I was in 7th grade, I had raised my first flock of quails with a scale of 5,000 animals and it became a career that I have attached until now.
Thinh has gone through a long journey of studying and paying the price to become an expert in quail farming. The most difficult is the bird flu epidemic that occurred in 2003 which caused many farmers to lose their quail farms. Then, according to the new regulations, livestock farms must be relocated out of residential areas.
At that time, many long-time quail farmers in this area quit their job because of many difficulties, Thinh persisted in finding a new land to restore the quail farm. He moved the farm to Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district with a herd size of only about 30-40 thousand animals, much smaller than the herd he had built before, but he set himself a problem to find. solution for raising quails to be disease-free with a closed, cold cage system.
He persevered for 5 years to perfect the system of raising quails at cold, closed farms to ensure disease safety and build up the total quail population to about 200,000. After completing the industrial quail rearing process in the cold barn system, he decided to move the farm for the third time to the farm area with an area of about 3.5 hectares in Thien Tan commune, Vinh Cuu district as it was today. now. It took him another 7 years to invest in a new farm system, gradually increasing the total herd to 450,000 heads, which is the farm with the largest total quail population in Vietnam with a closed, cold barn system. In addition, he also cooperates with quail farming households and establishments in the province, on average consuming 750,000 quail eggs/day.
The farmer is very creative
For decades of working with quail farming, it is also a journey that Thinh perseveres in constantly learning and gaining experience. He researched and researched the formula of antibiotic-free feed to order directly from the factory to the improvement, design and conversion of the quail cage system from wood to iron and stainless steel to perfect the system. The system of cold cages for raising quails ensures disease safety. Thinh himself has a wealth of golden knowledge in quail farming, becoming an expert guide for new farms from the design of the barn, the supply of animal feed, the breeding process to the care. squirrel.
Although he concentrates a lot on investing in livestock, Mr. Thinh does not underestimate the investment and development of the market for the farm's products. Mr. Thinh compares: “Raising quails is difficult, but selling the products they make is even harder. There were times, many farms went bankrupt, quit their jobs because eggs fell in price, still could not be sold, and inventory had to be dumped. That's why, right from the moment I invest in livestock, I always worry about the problem of consumption, especially investment in processing for export."
Right from the small-scale farming, Mr. Thinh has spared no effort to transport several thousand quail eggs by motorbike to remove termites for customers everywhere, including the market in Ho Chi Minh City. The number of customers increased, he invested in the first truck and then increased it into a fleet of vehicles to transport goods to all provinces and cities across the country; supply to the system of large supermarkets.
Once he had mastered the domestic market, Thinh spent money and labor to go everywhere, even abroad to learn modern technology in processing instant eggs to supply the export market. In 2018, Vuong Gia Hung Thinh Co., Ltd. went into operation. Thinh shared: “Being a farmer and then opening a processing business has trained me in perseverance, especially when working with Japanese partners. Because only a small detail such as processing so that the instant egg when cutting out the outermost layer of the egg yolk part does not darken, it took me a year to research the solution."
However, according to Mr. Thinh, the first and most important thing for him to convince customers from fastidious markets such as Japan, the US, and Australia is an enterprise that can guarantee both the size and quality of the source. raw materials, especially not using antibiotics in livestock.
Mr. Thinh affirmed: “I always define my strengths as being rich in breeding experience, organizing a large source of raw materials, meeting the strict standards of the export market. Therefore, even though I become an entrepreneur, I still maintain the true quality of a farmer, always closely follow all husbandry and processing activities so that each egg that reaches the consumer is guaranteed of quality. This is also a solid foundation for businesses to continue going far and faster in the future."
According to Mr. Pham Van Thinh, it is expected that in 2023, the business will promote the export of instant quail eggs to the US and Australian markets. Accordingly, the enterprise is expanding links with livestock farms in the province with the goal of increasing output by 500,000 eggs/day to meet export requirements to new markets.
