According to Tan Phu district People’s Committee, the district has two communes namely Phu An and Nui Tuong and eight hamlets in four area-No.2-communes that are under financial support from the government program. Since it started in 2008, the district has invested six billion VND, including four billion VND for construction projects, 150 million for each hamlet and 800 million for each commune.

In addition to investments in construction of key roadways, the program also supports plant varieties and animal breeds for farmers; opening bids for fertilizer supply and other works, etc. Especially, for vocational training, until the middle of 2009, VND12.54 million was disbursed, making up 14.69% of the plan, including two vocational training classes opened for ethnic group youth in La U village, Phu Binh commune.

Thanks to close direction of Party and local government plus public support and involvement and funding from the program 135, after one year of implementation, it had posed positive signs such that rate of students regularly attending class gets highly increased in comparison with previous years; educational popularization stably continues; teaching and learning quality has been better improved. Besides, cultural activities and legal aid opened to help to qualify spiritual life and law recognition of the local people living in the hamlets and communes supported by the program.

In order to better implement the program in the second phase, Tan Phu district in the time to come will urge sectors, People’s Committees of its communes to speed up progress of approved projects, partially to improve locals’ living condition and production.
