Nguyen Sy Tuong (Dong Nai province) won a silver medal at the second Asian Indoor Games

After being allowed not to participate in the 1st match, billiards player Nguyen Si Tuong of Dong Nai province one after the other overcame player A.M.A (Qatar) in the quarterfinals, and Machida Tadashi (Japan) in the semifinals to reach the competition with player Duong Anh Vu in the Men’s One-Cushion Carom Singles of Billiard’s event.

    However, Nguyen Sy Tuong was defeated by Duong Anh Vu 98-150 in the final on 30th October, and won a silver medal. With a gold medal in the Men’s One-Cushion Carom of Billiard’s event, Duong Anh Vu clinched the second gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the second Asian Indoor Games. The first gold medal went to Ngo Lan Huong in the women’s Chineses chess.

    It was reported that with the second position  in the men’s one-cushion carom of the National Billiards and Snooker Championship, San Miguel-Tan Loc Cup (ranking after Duong Anh Vu), Nguyen Sy Tuong had been chosen in Vietnam Billiards and together with Anh Vu reached a final Billiards – One Cushion Carom in second Asian Indoor Games in Macao (China).
