Dong Nai Newspaper Holds a Get-together for the 65th Anniversary of Traditional Day and the 35th Anniversary of Foundation

The get-together was attended by Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Head of Commission for People Mobilization at Dong Nai Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh, Chairperson of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairperson of Vietnam Journalists Association Pham Quoc Toan, elderly journalists, the comrades who are Dong Nai Newspaper’s former editor-in-chiefs and deputy editor-in-chiefs throughout periods, and the representatives for departments, sectors, and unions from inside and outside the province.

At the get-together, on behalf of the Editorial Panel, Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper Tran Huy Thanh delivered a speech, reminisced about the newspaper’s 65 traditional years and its first paper printed with stencils that was born in War Zone D in the early years of the resistance war against the French in June, 1946, and about the newspaper’s efforts and achievements throughout 35 years of construction and development since the first issues in the New Year of Dragon - February, 1976.

Addressing the get-together, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai commended Dong Nai Newspaper for its 35-year efforts and achievements.

In addition to quickness and timeliness, Dong Nai Newspaper is required to pay attention to the accuracy, science, and culture of its information sources, to further conduct research into and make changes to its content and format to better meet requirements and tasks in a new period, to deserve a spokesperson for the provincial Party organs and a forum for people from all walks of life in the province, and to contribute to successfully accomplishing the Party’s targets in a new period, emphasized Thai.

On this occasion, Dong Nai People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to eleven officers with more than 30 years of service and dedication together with Dong Nai Newspaper.

Also, ten readers that contributed ideas in an opinion poll to seek improvement for Dong Nai Newspaper were presented with its souvenirs.
