In 2008, the Provincial Market Management Bureau went on 3,469 tours of inspection, dealing with 3,401 violation cases and handing VND 5.1 billion (or US$ 2,663,519.339) including VND 4.6 billion (or US$ 2,631277.9) in fines and VND 563 million (or US$ 32,241.439) of selling confiscated goods to the State Budget.

In 2008, prices fluctuated for a long period of time but the market management showed results. The units under the Bureau cooperated closely with the Police Force, Bureau for Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology) and the authorities of all levels at the front of combating smugglings, counterfeit and shoddy goods and commercial frauds.
The Bureau has determined the target mission for the year 2009 which focuses on the aspects of combating commercial frauds, counterfeit goods which violate the industrial property rights and worked in collaboration with the functional agencies to examine the conditions of trading in, transporting and slaughtering domestic animals, standards of food safety and hygiene and preventing the epidemic in animals and poultry... As planned, the violation cases are required to reach at least 95% of the total inspected cases.
