In Long Thanh district, according to the head of the Economic Division Lam Van Minh, the district has recently implemented the project of building a model to apply advanced techniques of mangosteen production according to VietGAP at Binh Son commune, Binh An commune. As a result, reduced the percentage of hard and bran skin mangosteens, 10 hectares of mangosteen certified with VietGAP standards, yield increased by 15-20%.
In addition, the district has effectively implemented the project of Application of mechanization to improve the productivity and efficiency of rice production at Long Phuoc commune. Many production models have been replicated, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. Activities on science and technology information, development of science and technology potential, innovation startup ecosystem are always interested in the district.
Meanwhile, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, Head of Economic Division of Nhon Trach district, over the past time, science and technology and innovation activities have achieved many positive results in the district. The district has actively applied information technology in management and administrative reform and building e-government. At the results, the district's annual timely settlement of administrative procedures are over 95%.
The district has also tested and accepted and applied the topic Converting inefficient sugarcane land to fruit tree intensive farming at Phuoc Khanh commune; support farmers to build and develop crops suitable to local soil. At the same time, applying technological advances to production, contributing to increasing people's income by 15-25%.
In the development of the innovation startup ecosystem, Nhon Trach district has promoted propaganda for people to participate in competitions and start-ups with models suitable to local potential. Up to now, the district has had 16 OCOP certified products, 30 products voted and recognized typical rural industrial products.
Trang Bom district has also cooperated in research, acceptance, transfer and effective application of a number of project such as: Building a model of application of advanced techniques to improve intensive farming to increase yield and quality of coffee and cashew trees; Applying technical advances to build a pepper production model according to GLOBAL GAP and linking from production to product consumption; Building a model of application of technological advances in production of green skin pomelos meeting VietGAP and linking from production to product consumption… The whole district currently has 13 products that meet OCOP standards in which there are 9 products with 4 stars and 4 products with 3 stars.

Supporting and cooperation for mutual development
Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon Trach district Luong Huu Ich said that although there were many advantages, the district also faced some difficulties in promoting its potential and applying science and technology to production.
Therefore, Nhon Trach district proposed the Department of Science and Technology to have solutions to support the local conservation of local specialty varieties; improved crop productivity for households growing lotus in the area; raised the production value of sour shrimp; applied digital transformation to expand the consumption market for local products. For Long Thanh district, the current difficulty is that people are still own small-scale production in the area, the association to form large production chains is difficult to implement. Innovation activities are still limited due to insufficient resources to meet development needs, lack of close coordination among related agencies and units.
Long Thanh district proposed the Department of Science and Technology to support production facilities to build and complete the documents to participate in OCOP; having solutions on science and technology to develop high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture; supporting the implementation of science and technology projects under the program of science and technology for agriculture and rural modernization. Long Thanh district hopes that the Department of Science and Technology will continue to support and cooperate for the local implement the effective application of science and technology topics and projects, and application of science and technology in various fields of life, building and protecting intellectual property, transforming digital, especially in administrative reform.
In Trang Bom district, up to now, the number of Science and Technology project is still small, the implementation progress of some projects is still slow, the function of state management of science and technology at commune and town levels is not really interested. Not only that, small and medium enterprises with limited production conditions have not been interested in establishing an advanced quality management system.
In the coming time, Trang Bom district will strengthen scientific research cooperation with prestigious universities and research institutes inside and outside the province. At the same time, promoting cooperation in transfer and application of advanced science and technology achievements in a number of key fields such as agriculture, forestry, biotechnology, processing technology, information technology, medicine and pharmacy. The district proposes the Department of Science and Technology to support the locality in research, transfer and application of high technology to agricultural production.
