Together with the new year’s atmosphere all over the country, local authorities in Dong Nai held various colorful activities to celebrate the new year and the Party contributing to making a cosy and peaceful Tet holidays.

Chau Ro ethnic minority people in Xuan Phu, Xuan Loc district in the New Rice Festival

* On the evening of the 30th of Lunar December, 2010 (or February 2, 2011), thousands of residents from Bien Hoa and from surrounding areas flocked to Tran Bien Temple of Literature to welcome the Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011.

Together with the people to welcome Lunar New Year's Eve 2011 were Member of the Central Party, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Tran Dinh Thanh; Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot; Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, and the leadership from departments, committees and sectors in Bien Hoa and in Dong Nai.

On Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011, provincial and municipal leaders burned incense in memory of predecessors and martyrs, praying for a peaceful country and a good life for all people and extending Tet holiday wishes to units on duty on Lunar New Year’s Eve.

Exactly at the moment of transition from the old year to the new year, bunches of colorful fireworks were fired into the sky above Tran Bien Temple of Literature.

The 15-minute fireworks display was welcomed by the people with the joy of stepping into a new year.

This Lunar New Year, in addition to the fireworks display at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, there are the other five fireworks display locations: Trang Bom, Long Khanh, Xuan Loc, Vinh Cuu and Nhon Trach.

* On the morning of February 5th (or the third day of the Year of Cat) Bien Hoa Municipal People’s Committee celebrated Teacher’s Tet holidays to show gratitude to and honor teachers at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.

This event was attended by Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Head of Dong Nai Provincial Delegation at the National Assembly Le Hong Phuong, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Huynh Chi Thang, Member of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Bien Hoa Municipal Party Committee Vy Van Vu, Alternate Member of the Central Party Executive Committee and Chairman of Bien Hoa Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong, the representatives for departments and sectors and a large number of university, high school, junior high school  and primary students in Bien Hoa.

Bien Hoa Municipal People’s Committee makes Teacher’s Tet holidays at Tran Bien Temple of Literature an annual event, which contributes to preserving and promoting the tradition of “Respecting Teachers and Possessing Virtues” in people’s spiritual life, especially that of the young generation.

* On Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011, it was a bustling atmosphere in Trang Bom district. Streets were filled with colorful lights and a variety of flowers and people burst into streets to welcome the new year.

Thanks to fireworks display and music performance in Vinh Cuu stadium, Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011 becomes more special than in the past.

Recreational activities to welcome the new year were held in the stadium where musical pieces were performed.

These activities included movie shows and music performance programs entitled “Honoring the Party, Uncle Ho, Motherland Love and Patriotism”.

The musical pieces were performed by professional singers from Ho Chi Minh City.

Exactly at 00:00 a.m, together with more than ten thousand residents’ joy to welcome the new year, colorful fireworks bunches were fired into the sky above the stadium.

* Together with the happiness to welcome the Party and Lunar New Year 2011, people in Vinh Cuu enjoyed a traditional Tet holidays within a cosy, joyful, safe and economical atmosphere.

This Lunar New Year’s Eve, Vinh Cuu is one of the six locations in the province where fireworks displays were organized.

The closer the moment of transition from the old year to the new year was, the more people flocked to the fireworks display location at Street 8 in Vinh An town.

People in Vinh Cuu have not had a chance to watch fireworks being fired into the sky of their hometown on Lunar New Year’s Eve for a long time.

Bunches of fireworks glittered in part of Vinh Cuu sky as an additional beauty to the district in 2011.

* As one of the activities to welcome Lunar New Year 2011, Thong Nhat district held six music performance nights to celebrate the Party and the new year.

Additionally, nine movie show nights were ready for local residents.

A tennis contest and the 3rd Thong Nhat Road Bicycle Race Open were hosted.

The singing contest for youth union members, civil servants and workers attracted 19 participants with 64 performance pieces such as dance and singing solo, duo, trio and group entitled “Honoring Patriotism and the Love towards Motherland, the Party and Beloved and Respected Uncle, Solidarity between Soldiers and People and the Unity in the Process of National Construction and Defence” was hosted.

* Activities to celebrate the Party and Lunar New Year 2011 were held in the mountainous district of Xuan Loc among a joyful and exciting atmosphere.

Gia Rai town center was decorated with colorful lanterns and flags.

Especially on Lunar New Year's Eve 2011, fireworks displays attracted an audience of over 10,000.

Earlier, Xuan Loc district held Spring Flower Festival with the participation of hundreds of flowers stands, which attracted thousands of people to visit and get the most beautiful flowers as offerings to their ancestors and for home decoration throughout Tet holidays.

In addition, Department of Culture and Information organized cultural and musical programs to serve people in far-flung areas.

Particularly, the Chau Ro ethnic minority community in Xuan Phu district celebrated the New Rice and Bamboo Festival during Tet holidays.

The social security and order before, during and after Tet holidays are always preserved.

People in Xuan Loc district enjoyed a happy and peaceful Tet holidays.
