On the anniversary of its11th birthday, on August 22, at 11:11:11, Big C supermarket system established a world record- the longest baguette with 111 meters long, acknowledged by the World Guinness and Vietnam Guinness Organization.

The baguette was made of 111 kgs of superior fluor , 1.1 kgs of fresh yeast, 1.6 kg of salt and 66 kgs of water. Then it was baked in 25 minutes in a 111-meter long brick oven. Tasks have been done by 11 bakers and 111 staff of Big C. The weight of the baked baguette was 142 kgs. The baked baguette was used to make sandwiches delivered freely to guests and customers who came.
Baguette of Big C has been enjoyed by customers for years since the first days of its opening in Dongnai in 1998. After a lof of changes in material market, quality and price of their baguette has been remained, which is proud of Big C. Via making the longest baguette of the world, Big C would like to contribute to Vietnamese image advertising to the world- a peaceful country and optimistic nation.
