(News Portal – Dong Nai) - The Department of Industry and Trade has recently organized a training program to enhance knowledge on international integration regarding matters related to the export phytosanitary quarantine of agricultural products and the management of pesticide residues to ensure food safety.
Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Import Plant Quarantine Center II (Plant Protection Department), presented the topics at the program.
During the program, speakers and experts from the Import Plant Quarantine Center II (Plant Protection Department) and the Southern Pesticide Inspection and Testing Center (Plant Protection Department) addressed issues such as: general regulations on export phytosanitary quarantine; the phytosanitary inspection process for items subject to quarantine; instances of phytosanitary violations by importing countries; and an overview of food safety - regulations at both national and international levels...
Additionally, topics included the challenges faced by Vietnamese agricultural products concerning food safety and pesticide residues; fundamental knowledge about pesticide residues; and solutions to reduce the risk of residues in agricultural products...
