Labor market prospered after the Covid-19 pandemic

After the 2022 Lunar New Year, many businesses in the province have been recruiting workers for their production and business plans from the first month of the year. Most businesses employ unskilled workers, with high salaries and many incentives such as bonus, good working environment and increased benefits for new employees.

Increase recruitment of unskilled workers

 

As one of the large-scale production enterprises in Long Thanh, Topband Vietnam Co., Ltd. (specializing in the production of electronic products) is also recruiting over 1,000 unskilled workers. A representative of the company's human resources department said that although the company has only been in operation for more than a year, it is attracting more than 500 skilled workers. It is expected that in the next month, the company will continue to complete new production workshops, so at the beginning of the year, recruiting labor becomes urgent to have resources ready to start working immediately. The company has posted job opportunities on websites with many incentives and benefits, but the number of current employees coming for interviews is very limited compared to the demand.

 

Meanwhile, in Nhon Trach District, many businesses have arranged human resources to stand at the company gates or at the corners of the roads to Industrial Zones to recruit employees. The atmosphere of recruitment here is quite bustling these days. However, enterprises said that they can only recruit a few dozen workers per day, so it is difficult to meet the demand as well as the production plan from the beginning of the year. Specifically, Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. employs 2,000 workers, Eclat Vietnam Textile and Garment Co., Ltd. recruits unlimited unskilled workers. Almost all enterprises offer support policies such as fuel, transportation, housing, attendance and monthly bonuses, etc. so that employees can trust and start working.

 

In Long Khanh City, many businesses are recruiting workers right from the beginning of the year. Specifically, Cibao Co., Ltd. has a need to recruit more than 1,000 workers with an income of VND7 million per person per month and VND3.5 million in bonus for accepting jobs; Pro Well Co., Ltd. employs 2,000 production workers with an income of VND6.5-10 million per person per month and many other benefits. A representative of Cibao Co., Ltd. said that recruiting at the beginning of the year was still quite difficult because workers went to their hometown to celebrate Tet and had not returned to work. The company's Human Resources Department has both recruited directly at the company and posted information online for employees to know, come for job interviews.

 

In the past few days, to meet the needs of production expansion, Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City) has been recruiting more than 5,000 new workers, requiring only basic reading and writing skills with an average income of VND7.5 million per person per month. In order to recruit workers, the company offers many attractive incentives such as: bonus for new workers, VND7.2 million; reward people who introduce their relatives to work at the rate of VND4 million per person. For workers in remote provinces, the company also supports accommodation for the first 6 months. In addition, the company also commits that when workers come to work, they will enjoy many welfare and benefits such as Tet bonus, support the bus tickets to their hometown for the Tet Holiday, bonus for Tet Holidays of the year, breakfast support and taking care their children in the company's nursery.

Supporting businesses to recruit workers

According to the Provincial Employment Service Center, with the rapid recovery of production and business of enterprises after the Covid-19 pandemic, the labor market has improved, creating jobs for unemployed people. Previously, through a quick survey by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs at more than 400 enterprises in the province, and companies which have been in demand of recruiting about 42,000 workers. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has directed the Provincial Employment Service Center to strengthen the connection between the companies and unemployed people, helping businesses meet resources to restore production.

 

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tram, Deputy Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, said that on February 25, the center will organize a free live recruitment at the beginning of the new year. Up to now, many businesses have registered to recruit with the number of thousands of employees. The Center will create all conditions for businesses to participate in recruitment, and for employees, especially unemployed workers, to find new jobs as quickly as possible. “Accompanying enterprises in labor recruitment activities, the center will provide maximum support to enterprises in recruiting workers to ensure production and business activities. In addition, before the Tet Holidays, the center also signed a memorandum of understanding with employment service centers in 10 provinces in the Southwest region, the Southern Central region, and the Central Highlands to support bringing workers to Dong Nai to work after the Lunar New Year. "- Ms. Tram said.

According to Trade Unions at levels in the province, after difficulties and losses in production and business due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, by 2022, many enterprises have recovered and expanded production, so the demand for recruitment of the companies have increased. Up to now, the whole province has over 98% of workers returning to work after the Tet Holiday. In enterprises with a large number of employees, this rate reaches 97-98%. This figure shows the same number of employees returning to work every year. Many businesses have started recruiting with a total of tens of thousands of workers, concentrated in industries such as textiles, footwear, food processing, mechanics, chemicals, construction, etc. to ensure production plans, hopes for a prosperous new year of production and business.
