Right from the beginning of the year, the Government issued Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on the main tasks and solutions for socio-economic development and business environment improvement in 2023. In the context of the difficult economic situation, reforming and simplifying administrative procedures will help enterprises to stand firm and recover production and business.
In Dong Nai, improving the business environment, creating confidence to attract investors is always considered a key task.
For favorable development, the business community needs the government to support and remove difficulties in production and business activities.
Enterprises need an open environment to recover
In order to continue economic recovery, right from the beginning of the year, the Government issued Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on the main tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, improving the business environment in 2023. Resolution 01 has emphasized many solutions, focusing on prioritizing maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, promoting growth, and ensuring major balances for the economy.
According to experts, there will still be many adverse effects, so businesses need support with policies, capital, investment promotion, trade promotion, etc., but the implementation of support policies has not been as expected. For example, the issuance of a 2% interest rate support package for businesses in the past time has been very limited. The set target will have tens of thousands of billion dong of interest rates supported, but the number of businesses and financial sources are very modest, the impact of this policy on the recovery of enterprises is almost nonexistent.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem, Director of the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry, Ho Chi Minh City branch. According to Ho Chi Minh City, macroeconomic stability is a very important factor to promote business development. The state needs to provide forecasting information, anticipating policy changes to help businesses avoid shocks due to sudden fluctuations. In the context of new challenges, it is expected that policies will be implemented more strongly, especially fiscal policies in the direction of supporting tax relaxation and fee reduction to help maintain and develop businesses.
Similarly, a representative of the Dong Nai Business Association said that the economic development program for the period of 2023 - 2025 should be updated in accordance with the development of the world economy. The business community wants the province to direct state management agencies to regularly provide information to associations to propagate to businesses in a timely manner. In the process of policy implementation, consultation with businesses is also very important to create a more open business environment, helping to quickly recover the economy.
Always accompanies enterprises
For Dong Nai, the province has long affirmed to accompany enterprises in production, business and economic development. During the epidemic and negative impacts from the world economic situation, the province held many meetings, meetings with businesses to grasp the situation. The province's functional branches have focused on promoting the implementation of measures to support businesses in accordance with the Government's policy, helping enterprises to recover production and business soon, thus, the province's economic growth in 2022 in relatively high level of 9.2% (beyond the set target from 6.5 to 7%).
Although overall, the local business environment is still the top attraction, in some areas there is still much work to be done.
In order to stabilize the economic situation and support businesses, according to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung, in 2023, in addition to promoting public investment, Dong Nai will also focus on improving the investment and business environment, promptly deal with the recommendations of people and businesses. Accompanying that are solutions to support access to loans as well as trade promotion, meeting partners, expanding markets for local products. The growth potential of Dong Nai is currently very large, but the pressure on the locality is also increasing. In the relationship with the business community, provincial leaders consider this to be a symbiotic relationship, so here the issue must be close and accompanied, supporting each other to develop together.
