Dinh Quan District still has nearly 19,000 hectares of production forest
According to the Department of Natural Resources and
Environment, the target of land use planning approved by 2020 of Dinh Quan is
more than 9.9 thousand hectares of production forest. However, in the land use
plan for 2022 approved by the Provincial People's Committee, Dinh Quan has more
than 18.97 thousand hectares of production forest land, 9,000 hectares higher
than the approved planning target. The reason why the production forest land of
Dinh Quan District is more than the planning is because the project of
converting the function from production forest to special-use forest in the
area of La Nga Forestry One Member Limited Company, handed over to
the owner of Cat Tien National Park has not been implemented. In addition, a
number of projects included in the land use planning for the period 2021-2020
are planned on production forest land but have not yet been implemented.
Dinh Quan District has a natural land area of 97,288 ha, of which forest land is
more than 35,000 ha.
