Industrial production index rose 4.1%

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in 2021, the industrial production index of Dong Nai increases by 4.1% compared to 2020 (in 2020 it increased by nearly 6%).

The reason for the low increase in the industrial index is due to the heavy impact of the fourth Covid-19 epidemic, plus a number of countries around the world that are still affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, making raw materials imported for production are in the shortage. Important customers, partners, and the commodity consumption market faces many difficulties.

In which, the mining industry increased by more than 1.2%; processing and manufacturing industry increased by over 7.3%; electricity production and distribution decreased by nearly 7.5%; water supply and waste treatment increased by nearly 9.4%. Some manufacturing industries in 2021, which decrease or increase very low compared to the previous year. They are electronic components production, food processing, wood product production, electricity production and distribution, and electrical equipment production.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, businesses restored production but it was not as expected because of the impact on input materials and freight costs.
