Assessment on occupational health and safety (OHS) is necessary

​The inspection team, led by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, inspects the observance of regulations on occupational safety at Chinh Tuc One Member Co., Ltd.

At the places of inspection of the production workers' areas, the inspection group pointed out the limitations and shortcomings in the OSH work of enterprises such as: not yet developed a plan to respond to the OSH Month, arduous, hazardous and dangerous workers have not been classified according to the list of occupations; have not yet developed a plan for incident handling and emergency response at the enterprise; have not equipped labor protection equipment for employees according to work requirements and have not declared the use of equipment with strict requirements. When checking at the production site, enterprises have not developed internal rules and regulations operating procedures and operating equipment with hazard warning indications.

Through the actual inspection and the above inadequacies, the team asked enterprises to quickly overcome the above limitations and report in writing to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. In which, making periodical reports on OSH; establish a safety and hygiene network with adequate and correct members according to regulations; carry out environmental monitoring and self-inspection, it is necessary to assess OSH risks at the workplace and especially, organize OSH training for employees with full training content and duration as prescribed.

In the past few days, the inspection team led by the Department of Industry and Trade has inspected the OSH work at enterprises in Bien Hoa City and Trang Bom District.
