The competition was participated by 109 players from 19 units and billiards clubs, competing for two events, including one-cushion and three-cushion. As a result, in the one-cushion event, Nguyen Van Phuoc Hieu (Minh Thanh Club in Quyet Thang Ward), Ngo Thanh Hai (Tan Phong Ward) and Pham Hien Vinh (Tam Hiep Ward) placed first, second and third respectively. In the three-cushion one, Nguyen Phi Hung (Phong Den Club in Tam Hiep Ward), Nguyen Thanh Quang (Duy Duc Club in Tam Hiep Ward) and Nguyen Van Phuoc Hieu (Minh Thanh Club in Quyet Thang Ward) came in first, second and third respectively. With the first prize for the one-cushion event and the third for the three-cushion one, Nguyen Van Phuoc Hieu (Minh Thanh Club) won the prize for best cueist.
