The opening ceremony was participated by about 4,000 people who are honorable delegates and representatives of offices, departments, sectors and schools. The program is solemnly and majestically organized with two main parts, parade and performance to celebrate the Sports Games. There were 43 team taking part in the parade, including 7 formal ones, 10 ones of offices and units and 26 ones of wards and communes. The performance consisted of 3 programs: dragon-lion dance, martial arts show and dancing items of more than 1,000 pupils of Tran Bien, Hung Vuong and Trinh Hoai Duc Schools.
The 6th Bien Hoa City Sports Game drew nearly 2,500 athletes from 221 units and clubs in the area, competing in 19 tournaments of 14 games, including billiards, traditional martial arts, karate, dragon-lion dance, body building, table tennis, badminton, football, tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, chess, taichi and jogging.
