At the ceremony, Dong Nai Power One-Member Limited Company signed a memorandum on energy efficiency and monitoring regulations concerning power supply and consumption with Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee, Labor Federation, Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Veterans Association, Women's Union, and Youth Union.

Accordingly, all parties will cooperate with one another in exchanging information and documents on the government’s policies and laws concerning power supply and consumption as well as information on scientific and technological advancement concerning how to use electricity safely and efficiently, dissemination of legal knowledge  concerning how to use electricity safely and efficiently, and in conducting inspection over power consumption to make sure that electricity trading regulations are conformed to.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Phan Thi My Thanh.

To respond Dong Nai’s economic growth rate by 13.2 percent, the necessary power supply per day must be 20.3 million KWh, said Thanh.

However, the current power supply is only 18.7 million KWh per day. Thus, the province is still in a shortage of 1.6 million kWh per day.

To apply the government’s Decree on energy efficiency, Dong Nai has guided agencies, units, businesses, and residents to how save electricity in recent times but things have not been done effectively.

Therefore, levels of authorities and departments are required to further strengthen propaganda programs and to show individuals and organizations how to use electricity economically.

After the signing ceremony, units are required to quickly establish specific action programs in order to use electricity efficiently, safely, and economically, and strive to make Dong Nai a leading province in saving electricity.
