Consequently, most businesses, economic conglomerates, and representatives from various countries exploring investment opportunities in Dong Nai have shown interest in the province's ability to supply high-quality labor for enterprises from nations and territories worldwide such as South Korea, Japan, Germany, Finland, and Sweden.

Many businesses from around the world, when evaluating the investment environment in Dong Nai, pay great attention to the province's ability to meet labor needs, especially in high-tech fields. To address the high-quality labor demands of enterprises, the province has not only relied on its existing workforce but also actively collaborated with universities, colleges, and vocational schools both within and outside the province to train additional skilled labor.
During meetings, many businesses have inquired about the province's capacity to supply labor and the channels available for recruiting workers capable of meeting their requirements. These concerns are particularly emphasized by countries with advanced industrial production, enterprises deploying cutting-edge technologies, and markets with strict regulations on product origin and labor standards.
Overall, businesses utilizing local labor have indicated that Dong Nai's workforce is generally well-trained with stable skills. However, the availability of high-quality labor remains a key consideration for many foreign-invested enterprises before deciding on new investments or expanding operations in Dong Nai.
The Long Duc Investment Co., Ltd., which manages the Long Duc industrial park, disclosed that the park currently hosts 73 operating enterprises, most of which are Japanese. The production models in Long Duc industrial park primarily involve modern machinery and automated production lines, requiring skilled, high-quality workers. Presently, nearly 8,000 workers are employed by businesses in Long Duc industrial park, with 80% being local labor.
To ensure a steady labor supply for enterprises, Mr. Ishi Hiroyuki, General Director of Long Duc Investment Co., Ltd., shared that since 2022, Long Duc Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dong Nai High-Tech College to promote the development of high-quality human resources for Long Duc industrial park. As a result, enterprises in the park annually receive many interns and hire graduates to work for them.
Dong Nai boasts a young, dynamic, and capable labor force, with around 1.9 million people of working age, accounting for approximately 62% of the province's population. Dong Nai is home to 7 universities, 10 colleges, 13 vocational schools, and 50 other vocational training centers and units. These institutions jointly train about 70,000 individuals annually.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, stated that Dong Nai prioritizes the development of industries and production fields applying high technology in industrial production. These include projects utilizing high technology listed as a priority under government regulations, as well as projects focused on supporting industries, producing new materials, energy-saving efforts, and environmentally friendly initiatives. Dong Nai also encourages development and investment in information technology, hardware, and software product manufacturing. In agriculture and food processing, the province prioritizes attracting industries producing clean and eco-friendly agricultural products using biotechnology. In the service and infrastructure sectors, Dong Nai seeks investment in projects related to roads, ports, and public services such as education, training, culture, and sports.
To meet labor demands for emerging projects across the province, Dong Nai is implementing solutions to enhance the quality of its workforce, particularly high-quality human resources capable of meeting the requirements of industrialization, modernization, international integration, and labor market needs. This includes projects like the centralized IT zone, high-tech zone, and industrial parks applying advanced technology within the province that utilize core technologies of Industry 4.0, which are currently being developed in Dong Nai.
Additionally, Dong Nai plans to strengthen collaboration with foreign partners to ensure vocational training quality meets international standards and to assess learners' skills according to output standards.
