Dong Nai river environment needs a common policy to protect and develop sustainably

Carrying out the coordination work to develop the Southeast region, the four localities of Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau have agreed to propose the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to pay attention to policies to promote the attraction of service industries to meet sustainable development in the Saigon and Dong Nai river basins. In which, focusing on planning and developing the landscape on both sides of the rivers; develop circular economy, night economy, tourism economy on river routes.

In addition, localities also need to have common policies in the field of environmental protection, especially the environment in the basins of the Saigon and Dong Nai river systems, including the treatment of waste, and wastewater to meet environmental standards associated with climate change adaptation solutions and waste separation at source.​​​
