In addition to the completed construction of the Dau Giay Overpass, the Dau Giay Intersection Project also carried out the construction of expanding the intersection on both National Highway No. 1 and National Highway No. 20; extending a section of National Highway No. 20 about 1.5km long from Dau Giay Intersection towards Dalat City.

The Construction of Dau Giay Overpass has been completed

According to the investor, currently, for the project to expand 1.5km on National Highway No. 20 and expand the parallel road on National Highway No. 1 with a scale of 4 lanes (2 lanes on each side) has been basically completed the construction. "In order to ensure the traffic circulation during construction, currently for the parallel road section on National Highway No. 1, up to two-thirds of the route is being expanded with 6 lanes," said Mr. Hoang Van Mau.

According to Mr. Hoang Van Mau, for the two items of expanding the parallel road section on National Highway No. 1, only the construction of the road surface structure remains to be completed. As expected, this item will be implemented after the Dau Giay Overpass opens to traffic, allowing vehicles to flow to avoid congestion. Previously, according to the agreement between the investor with the Department of Transport and the Road Administration Department IV, the construction of the extension of the parallel road section on National Highway No. 1 will be implemented when the Dau Giay Overpass is completed, allowing vehicles to circulate to avoid congestion as well as ensure traffic safety during construction.

Regarding the completion time of the entire Dau Giay Intersection Project, Mr. Hoang Van Mau said, the unit is also trying to complete by the end of March 2022 as required by the Ministry of Transport. “The remaining amount of work is not large, but there are many small works in the finishing stage that need to be completed, so the completion of the entire project may be slower than the timeline given by the Ministry of Transport. However, we also try to complete it as soon as possible," Mr. Hoang Van Mau added.
