The First Day of New Law Enforcement: Riders still much Violate

After the first day the road traffic law with newly amended contents was put into place, there were a number of violations, said Bien Hoa traffic police. It was electric bike; electric motorbike riders who were found to travel without wearing helmets, mostly students.

Numbers of electric bikers travel along streets without wearing helmets

    When asked about the new items on people on electric bike; electric motorbike, many said they knew but they reasoned that was because they did not used to wear helmet or forgot to do and so forth.

    On July 1, 2009 alone, the first day the law took effect, Bien Hoa traffic police found 50 riders travelling without wearing helmet in Dong Khoi street. However, for the first day, they were just warned, instead of being fined as regulation.
