delegation, about collaboration in developing organic agriculture
The provincial leaders expressed their desire to collaborate with Ritsumeikan University to apply SOFIX technology in Japan's organic agricultural production. The goal is to ensure Dong Nai's agricultural products meet safety standards and international market requirements. Despite being an industrial province, Dong Nai is keen on agricultural development, especially focusing on key export crops such as rubber, pepper, cashew, and coffee. To better meet export market demands, the province emphasizes safe, sustainable agricultural production, with organic farming being a prioritized direction. In November 2023, a delegation from Dong Nai visited Japan.

Professor Kubo Motoki, head of the Ritsumeikan delegation, stated that this is the first time the delegation has visited Dong Nai. SOFIX technology in organic agriculture is rapidly developing in Japan and is applied in wheat production, tea cultivation, and wine grape growing. The Japanese government aims to further develop robust organic agriculture in the coming time. Japan also seeks to enhance cooperation with Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular in the agricultural sector. The delegation aims to understand Dong Nai's soil conditions to serve as a foundation for transferring SOFIX technology in organic agricultural production to the province.
Both parties took a commemorative photo.
The Ritsumeikan University delegation will conduct surveys on several organic agricultural production models in the province. Based on these, on August 20, the delegation will participate in a workshop to share experiences in applying SOFIX technology in organic production, organized by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.
