Vice Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong spoke at the working session with the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board

The Standing Board’s report on the result of two-year implementation of the Central Resolution No.3 (the 10th session), which mentioned about the strengthening of the Party’s leadership over anti-corruption, showed that the Resolution was promulgated widely and deeply in the party and administration system and that many executive committees had worked out action programs to provide popularization and make good shortcomings by inspection and administrative reform.

Declaring property and income by officials and party’s members, buying and using public property, managing land and investing in capital construction ensured compliance with regulations, the report said. Settlement of complaints, inspection, investigation, prosecution and trial of corruption-related cases were basically timely and complied with provisions of law, the report showed.

In the last two years, the province’s law protection agencies had dealt with 29 cases with 64 offenders who caused a damage of over VND 38 billion, the report said. However, the biggest shortcoming of the anti-corruption and anti-wastefulness work was that it was not carried out very well within agencies and it happened the same as the inspection of elective agencies and organizations but it was mainly conducted by people’s denouncement, the report proved.

Trong highly appreciated the effective implementation of the Resolution by the Standing Board. However, he said that this was just the first step and the corruption and wastefulness still took place complicatedly so the province needed to crack down on them.

He also suggested the province should have synchronous solutions in order that corruption and wastefulness can be effectively beat.
