Former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu paid a working visit to Dongnai

Receiving and working with him were Tran Dinh Thanh – member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee; Vo Van Mot - Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, members of the provincial standing Party Committee’s Standing Board and leaders of departments and sectors across the province.

At the working session, the province’s leaders reported the socio-economic and national defense – security situation of the first six months and main objectives and duties in the last months. Accordingly, although the first months of the year saw quite a lot of difficulties due to inflation, high raw material price and so on, the leaders had sought out for proper solutions along with the effort made by the local sectors, departments, businesses and residents, which help remain the stable growth of the province.

Le Kha Phieu highly appreciated the effort made by Dong Nai’s Party and residents. Besides, he advised the province’s leaders that they should evaluate the specific achievements, pinpoint the reasons for the success as well as the shortcomings and weakness in order to work out proper solutions, helping successfully implement the Resolution of the 10^th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 8^th Provincial Party Committee Congress

Concerning the Party building, he said the provincial Party needed to promote the solidarity in the Party, to be objective and honest about criticism and self-criticism to help people make progress. When training officials, the province’s leaders should pay attention to accurately evaluate their working performance and quality so that the promotion would be given to the right people at the right time, Phieu added.

Another issue he also noted was that although Dong Nai is a province of industrial development, it should pay attention to agriculture, farmers and the rural areas and that the provincial Party should have a special resolution on this issue to help improve the spiritual and material lives of the rural residents.

On behalf of the province’s leaders, Tran Dinh Thanh acknowledged Phieu’s suggestions. He said Dongnai’s Party and people would keep making attempt to overcome obstacles for development.

In the evening, Phieu paid a working visit to Tam Phuoc Industrial Zone Authority, visited Lee Fu Limited Company and paid tribute to Long Thanh Martyr’s Cemetery.

On August 3, before finishing the working visit to Dong Nai, he will visit Cat Tien National Park.
