On July 11, a delegation of the State and Law Faculty of Zone I Politics Institute led by Dr. Do Trung Hieu, Dean of State and Law Faculty arrived in Dongnai to conduct a research on socioeconomic development of Dongnai province.

12706doanhocvien Mr. Le Hong Phuong, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Mr. Vo Van Mot, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial people’s Committee and representatives of provincial Party Committee and functional agencies and department received the delegation.

The target of delegation’s research is to study the socioeconomic development, administrative reform, obstacles to restructuring the authorities system in Dongnai province in recent years and to find out about the requirements of training, improving and appointing civil service. The delegation also investigates the privatization of state own enterprises in Dongnai, the policies on attracting foreign investment and improving investment environment to mobilize domestic and foreign resources and policies on religion and race.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Vo Van Mot, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, reported on the socioeconomic development and national security and defense situation of the province in the first half of this year and provincial tasks for the second half of this year. With the motto of “Accompanying with the enterprises”, Dongnai have made great effort to enhance its investment environment. As a result, Dongnai has become one of the leading provinces in the country in term of foreign investment attraction. Presently, Dongnai has 20 industrial zones approved by the Prime Minister. These industrial zones have attracted over 700 investment projects with the total investment capital of over 8.3 billion USD. Together with the target of socioeconomic development, Dongnai also focuses on solving social issues. Dongnai has created over 70,000 to 80,000 jobs for labors. Tens of poor families have been granted loans to improve their lives. Thus, the numbers of poor families have reduced sharply and now just makes up of fewer than 10% of the provincial population.

In term of administrative reform, Dongnai has focuses on reforming institution, organization structure and public administration and building a good source of civil services. With the implementation of “one stop” structure in all departments, agencies and localities in the provinces, has helped the public management agencies to enhance its operation, reduce the obstacles and inconveniences for enterprises. However, these reforms, in general, still do not keep pace with the socioeconomic development and the hope of people in the province.

On this occasion, the delegation has visited some historical places and industrial zones in the province.
