Welcome the freighter train from Shandong (China) to Trang Bom Station

​On March 16, at Trang Bom Train Station (Trang Bom District) a ceremony took place to welcome the first train of China Railway Express Qilu – Shandong, China. Attending the ceremony were the Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City Nguy Hoa Tuong; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang said that Dong Nai highly appreciated the development of the railway transport system in general, the line of Shandong (China) - Trang Bom (Vietnam) in particular and hoped that there would be more Shandong trains (China) at Trang Bom Train Station in the future. At the same time, that would also be a connection to promote the development of economic cooperation as well as friendly cooperation between Dong Nai province and Chinese partners.

Dong Nai is about 30kms from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, 40kms from Thi Vai - Cai Mep port cluster of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and has many advantages for future development. It is expected that by 2025, when Long Thanh International Airport is put into operation and use, it will help Dong Nai to have all 5 modes of transport: road, air, railway, waterway and developing international maritime trade smoothly, creating conditions to promote strong economic development in the locality.

Besides, the railway transport system has been, being and will be developed with interest such as: the North-South high-speed rail route; light rail route of Thu Thiem - Long Thanh airport; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau rail route serves the transportation of goods from industrial clusters, Eastern transshipment warehouses to Long Thanh airport and seaport systems in the districts of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Thi Vai - Cai Mep port area.

Currently, the Eastern transit warehouse has been planned  in the province with an area of 614 hectares right at the location of Trang Bom Train Station, which plays the role of a development area for warehousing, transshipment and industrial services for both Dong Nai and other provinces nearby.
