The site clearance for the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway project was completed in November

According to the Thang Long Project Management Board, the section of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway project that runs through Dong Nai Province is more than 51 kilometres long. To implement the project, Dong Nai will have to reclaim over 431 hectares of land that is the property of 1,239 households and 8 organizations. So far, the entire project has passed through the province, with only 11 households in three districts including Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, and Cam My, refusing to accept compensation and hand over the site. Also according to the Thang Long Project Management Board, in the overall investment project to construct a number of expressway sections on the North-South East route in the period 2017-2020, Dong Nai is currently a locality that has completed a large amount of site clearance work. The remaining area that has not been completed for site clearance is minor. However, this area is located in the intersections and overpass areas, so it greatly affects the construction work. Therefore, the unit also expects the localities to speed up progress so that the entire site can be completed early. In addition to that, the Thang Long Project Management Board also proposed the Provincial People's Committee to direct localities and functional agencies to soon complete the relocation of technical infrastructure works such as electricity grid, water drainage system, telecommunications system. Especially, the power grid system in Xuan Loc District will be relocated at three points soon, including: overpass intersection on provincial road 765; the intersection with National Highway 1 in Xuan Tam Commune and the intersection with Xuan Tam - Trang Tao Street to serve the construction of overpass items.

Concluding the speech of the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that Dong Nai has made a lot of efforts and achieved good results in site clearance for the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway project. With the remaining households, the localities are also urgently completing the procedures to complete the clearance work. In less than a month, 5 more households received money and handed over the premises. Localities, departments speed up the relocation of infrastructure systems to serve construction. Dong Nai's goal is to complete the site clearance of the entire project in November 2021. On the investor side, also supervise and speed up the contractors to focus on human resources and motorbikes to accelerate the construction process.

Previously, the delegation carried out a field trip inspection of 4 locations that have not yet completed site clearance work of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway project in the districts of Thong Nhat, Cam My and Xuan Loc.
