Striving for per capita income of VND126.26 million

Accordingly, in 2021, it is estimated that the province's regional gross domestic product (GRDP) will reach nearly VND214.7 trillion, an increase of 2.29% compared to 2020. In which, the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.15%; Industry-construction increased by 3.6%; Services decreased by 1.88% and Product Tax increased by 3.72%. This is the lowest growth rate in recent years, but in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic negatively affecting all socio-economic aspects of the province as well as the whole country, the above growth is the result actively, demonstrating the good implementation of tasks and solutions to well realize the dual goals of disease prevention and economic development. GRDP per capita in 2021 is estimated at more than VND119.1 million, up 3.37% over the previous year. Industrial production index in the province in 2021 increased by 4.1%, export turnover was nearly US$21.2 billion, increased nearly 12.8%.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung requested that, in 2022, local departments and agencies continue to implement 31 targets in the fields of socio-economic, defense and security. GRDP will increase about 6.5-7% compared to 2021; GRDP per capita must reach VND126.26 million; Export turnover increases by about 8-8.5%; Total social investment capital is VND100.07 trillion; 100% domestic solid waste will be collected and treated; The rate of green tree coverage reached 52%; There are at least 15 communes that have achieved new advanced rural development criteria.
