Recently, some industrial zones, such as Bien Hoa 2 (Bien Hoa City), Go Dau, Loc An - Binh Son (Long Thanh District) have not made any investment in the drainage system outside the fence of the industrial park in connection to the drainage system inside industrial zones, which leads to flooding after heavy rains, causing inconvenience to people living nearby.
The expenses for the construction of water drainage systems outside the fence of industrial zones are covered by the provincial budget. However, due to limited budget, the province has not allocated any investment capital to the project yet, and infrastructure companies themselves have temporarily invested in drainage during the rainy season. They are wondering how the construction costs will be settled.
Vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung said that the amount of infrastructure companies that invest in the drainage system outside the fence will be reimbursed by deducting the land rent paid to the industrial zone.
