Dong Nai to become sub-regional urban center

​The Government has just issued Decision 2076 on approving the adjustment of construction planning of the region of Ho Chi Minh City until 2030 with a vision to 2050. The target of the planning adjustment is to make Ho Chi Minh City a major, dynamic and sustainable development city with an important role and position in Southeast Asia and the world.

 The region of Ho Chi Minh City includes 8 provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Long An, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc and Tien Giang. The total area is 30,404 km2. The population is expected to reach 24-25 million people by 2030, of which urban population will be about 18-19 million and rural population about 6-7 million. Long Khanh is more and more modern
Accordingly, Bien Hoa City is an important transportation hub and the eastern logistics hub to Ho Chi Minh City; It is also a regional center for high-quality multi-disciplinary services, providing urban services, research centers for science, technology, commerce and finance.
 
Nhon Trach district will become a second class urban center and center of clean industrial and multi-branch industry, regional logistics service center, traffic hub and ecotourism center.
Long Thanh district will become a third class urban center - a center of regional trade and finance, national logistics service center. Trang Bom district will develop into a third class urban center providing regional eco-tourism and logistics service.
 
Long Khanh, Xuan Loc, Cam My, Thong Nhat, Tan Phu Dinh Quan districts and part of Vinh Cuu district will be the growth pole in the economic corridor along Highway 1A and Highway 51.
