Dong Nai - Taiwanese enterprises looking for trade opportunities

​On September 29th, the Taiwanese Trade Association in Dong Nai cooperated with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize a trade conference between Taiwanese enterprises and Dong Nai enterprises to connect the supply chain of products with each other’s. At the conference, nearly 100 Taiwanese and Dong Nai enterprises displayed their products to find opportunities to connect the supply chain.

 According to Mr. Le Van Loc, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Taiwan ranks second among 43 countries and territories investing in the province with over $ 5.2 billion. Taiwan is a big import market of Dong Nai. For the first nine months of 2017, Dong Nai imported goods from Taiwan (mainly raw materials) which were equivalent to about $ 1.1 billion. Therefore, many Dong Nai enterprises are keen on supplying products to Taiwanese enterprises.

 
Mr. Gian Chi Minh, Chairman of the Taiwanese Trade Association in Dong Nai, said that many Taiwanese businesses investing in Dong Nai are keen on finding material supply sources in Vietnam, especially in the province to reduce reliance on imports, which would result in mutual benefits to both parties. In the coming time, the association will be the bridge for Taiwanese as well as Dong Nai businesses to provide materials to each other. Consequently, businesses in need can contact the association for support. The products that Taiwan enterprises are in need of are various, such as raw materials for the textile industry, leather shoes, machinery equipment, and equipment for the wood and steel industry...
