Previously, in February 2022, the leader of the Ministry of Transport proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the relevant agencies to coordinate with the investor to soon complete the site clearance in the area. The rest is entangled with the route running through the province.
After that, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee asked the People's Committee of Long Thanh District to coordinate with the Southern Expressway Projects Management Unit (SEPMU), the investor of the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway project to complete the site clearance for the project.
The Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway project has a total length of nearly 58 km, of which the section through Dong Nai Province (2 districts of Nhon Trach and Long Thanh) is more than 27 km long. To implement the project, Dong Nai has to recover an area of about 197 hectares, owned by more than 1,220 households. Currently, the Prime Minister has agreed to extend the completion schedule for the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway project to December 31, 2023.
