The First Festival of Badminton Federation in the period of 2008-2012

   At the festival, decision of establishment of Dong Nai province’s Badminton Federation was announced and its regulations were approved; also a brief report on the province’s badminton movement and future plan of the federation’s performance in the first period of 2008-2012 were presented. Mr. Huynh Van Toi, the provincial committee propaganda-instruction in chief was elected as chairman. Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, secretary of the provincial committee was in charge of honorary chairman.

    Currently, there are probably about 30 badminton clubs and 100 sports grounds for badminton practitioners. Great number of these clubs are well-equipped, well-organized , serious and efficient ones, such as: Sao Hom, Dau Giay, The provincial committee office’s, The bank’s, Ngoc Phat, Quang Trung commune’s etc. now there are more than 2000 regular participants out of whom there are 5000 district ranking and upward athletes

    The Department of Sports Culture and Tourism has decision of establishing the Province’s Badminton Federation where badminton lovers can gather and practice this kind of sports.
