Over 300 Athletes Take part in the second Sports Traditional Festival of Information and Communication Sector in the Southern Region

    The festival, held by the Dong Nai Gymnastics and Sport Department, attracted 300 athletes from 24 delegations including the provincial Gymnastics and Sports Departments, other organs and units located in the South. The athletes competed in 7 different contents such as table tennis, tug of war game, tennis, badminton, football and, short run in burlap bag and karaoke contest.

    In the end, the organizing committee awarded the best athletes 48 prizes including 13 first prizes, 13 seconds and 20 thirds. In addition, the title of best score footballer, oldest and youngest athletes were given. Dong Nai Gymnastics and Sports department won the first prizes in football, badminton (women’s double), runner-ups in badminton (man-woman’s double), third prizes in badminton (men’s double) and karaoke. On this occasion, enterprise and athletes donated VND 51 million for building 4 compassionate houses and VND 8 million for the Fund.

    The third traditional Sports Festival of Information and Communication will take place in Kien Giang province as scheduled.
