In the first half of the year, Dong Nai's economy showed signs of recovery, with a GRDP growth rate of 6.8%. From the second quarter onwards, the production and business activities of enterprises experienced higher growth. Export performance and foreign investment attraction achieved positive results. Many enterprises signed new production orders, with some securing contracts extending to the end of the year and into the next year. The demand for labor in production increased, leading many units to boost recruitment efforts.

Despite these achievements, the economy still faces numerous challenges. The disbursement progress of public investment capital within the province is slow. Domestic market consumption remains weak. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are eager to obtain loans, but the conditions are stringent. While banks have capital, enterprises cannot access it. Additionally, unfavorable geopolitical factors worldwide continue to impact the economy and society of Dong Nai and the entire country.

To continue the activities of the Steering Committee and its members, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang urged each sector to persist in fulfilling its tasks and achieving the targets set at the beginning of the year. Concurrently, the province and relevant departments must focus on solutions to support enterprises. Key tasks include developing and completing criteria for attracting investment projects into industrial zones; enhancing trade promotion and conducting business dialogues to understand difficulties and obstacles. Furthermore, there should be heightened efforts to propagate, encourage, and support the transition to a digital economy, green economy, circular economy, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
