(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On May 24, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, head of the provincial working delegation, had a working session with Cam My District on the socio-economic, national defense, and security background in the first four months of 2024, and outlined directions and tasks for the second quarter and the following months of 2024.

During the session, Acting Chairman Vo Tan Duc urged Cam My District to continue focusing on directing the implementation of tasks and solutions to achieve the set goals. He emphasized accelerating the progress of investment projects, particularly those aimed at completing the district's transportation infrastructure to ensure 100% disbursement of public investment funds. He also stressed the need for strict management of mineral extraction, land, and the environment. Budget management should be disciplined and rigorous to ensure revenue meets or exceeds the set targets.
The Provincial People's Committee also approved a support package of 32.6 billion VND from the provincial budget to help Cam My District implement 14 projects, aiding the district in achieving its goal of becoming an advanced new rural district in 2024.
According to the Cam My District People's Committee, from the beginning of the year, district agencies, units, and the People's Committees of communes and towns actively developed programs and plans to implement the socio-economic development tasks and solutions for 2024.
In the first four months of the year, agricultural production in the district met the set plans, with crops growing well, and irrigation conditions secured despite localized heatwaves. The district has four communes meeting the model new rural standards; the value of industrial and handicraft production reached 2.2 trillion VND, achieving 34% of the annual plan; total retail sales of goods in the first four months were nearly 6 trillion VND, exceeding 37% of the annual plan; total social development investment capital was over 946 billion VND, reaching more than 30% of the plan; over 90 billion VND of public investment capital was disbursed, meeting nearly 23% of the plan. Land management, construction, and environmental resource management have seen many positive changes. Health, education, and care for people with meritorious services and vulnerable groups continue to receive attention. Efforts to combat corruption, staff planning, and the development of job position proposals to meet the set needs continue. The district successfully met the military conscription targets at two levels with high quality, and the local security and order are maintained.
In the second quarter of 2024, the district will continue implementing solutions to promote agricultural production, focus on achieving the set budget revenue targets, and carry out administrative reforms. Efforts will be made to accelerate the disbursement of public investment. The district will also proceed with the subsequent steps for the dossier of partial adjustment of the Long Giao urban construction master plan, and the construction zoning plan for the commercial service land area at Song Ray Lake in Lam San Commune...
